Enlightenment and improvements in daily life in one package

I’ve written before about the fact that the Lefkoe Belief Process (one of the many processes that comprise The Lefkoe Method) has both a very practical element and a profound spiritual element.  Getting rid of beliefs and conditionings changes your “creation,” in other words, it results in major changes in our daily behavior and emotions.  The Who Am I Really? Process, which is an element of the Lefkoe Belief Process (LBP), enables you to enter an altered state of consciousness where you deeply experience anything is possible, there is nothing missing, and you have no limitations. I am now discovering [...]

Fear of rejection

If there was ever a psychological trait that was considered to be a part of human nature, it’s the fear of rejection. In the thousands of comments people have posted on my various blogs, in conversations with friends over a lifetime, and in hearing people speak in more seminars than I can count, the fear of rejection is probably the most frequent complaint I’ve heard.  And, obviously, if virtually everyone has this fear, it must be human nature.  Right? Not necessarily. There are at least two possible explanations for most people having this specific psychological trait: it could be human [...]

Stop beating yourself up

There’s “good news” and “bad news” about the many personal growth improvement courses.  The good news is that many of them actually provide information, which, if used, will improve your life.  The bad news is that many of us have beliefs that prevent us from implementing the good advice. And there’s even worse news: Far too many people who find themselves unable to implement the advice in the course blame themselves.  I’m weak.  I can’t stick with anything.  I’m not good enough.  I’ll never amount to anything. There’s something wrong with me.  Etc. If this sounds familiar, I’m talking to [...]

Why do most of us act compulsively?

Why are so many of us “driven” compulsively to seek or do things that frequently aren’t in our own best self-interest? You probably aren’t surprised that my answer is: beliefs.  But there is a specific type of belief that results in “driven” behavior.  And it is formed in a very specific way.  Let me explain. Imagine you are a young child who has created a host of negative beliefs about yourself or about life. (Very few of us escape childhood without forming a bunch of negative self-esteem beliefs.  I’ve explained why in earlier blogs. https://www.mortylefkoe.com/031610/; https://www.mortylefkoe.com/wonderful-parents/#) At this point you [...]

It's not your fault

If you’re reading this, you are probably interested in personal growth.  And if you are interested in personal growth you’ve probably read a lot of books, taken a lot of workshops, and purchased a lot of programs.  And if you are a typical buyer, you’ve probably been disappointed many times by the results.  Right? And what is your response when you don’t get the desired result?  It’s got to be someone’s fault: Either what I purchased is not effective or it’s my fault. Sad to say, some of the programs for sale in the personal growth market are not very [...]

How beliefs have caused a crisis in education

Few institutions in our society are subject to as much passion, dissent, and, ultimately, paralysis as education. What is the source of the crisis in education and why does it seem to be so difficult to resolve? As readers of this blog you won’t be surprised that my answer to both these questions is beliefs.  Whenever you discover dysfunctional behavior—in individuals, organizations, or institutions—you will find beliefs at the source. To understand the role of beliefs in creating the current crisis in education, let’s look at one widely accepted belief about what education should do: The primary purpose of education [...]

Did You Have Wonderful Parents?

Perhaps the single most common question I get from people who are using the Lefkoe Belief Process to eliminate beliefs is: “Why do you say that all of our self-esteem beliefs were formed in early interactions with our parents?  I had great parents.  My beliefs about myself weren’t formed until later in life.” I wrote a post last year explaining why parents are almost always the source of our self-esteem beliefs. https://www.mortylefkoe.com/031610/.  But there are additional reasons why people might think their parents’ behavior has nothing to do with their beliefs that I didn’t cover in that post. To begin [...]

Are You Happy With Who You Turned Out To Be?

For most of my life I didn’t want to be me.  I was so unhappy with my life that being almost anyone else would have been preferable to being me.  For many years I wanted to be Fred Astaire, because I loved the joyful, bright sense of life he projected, an experience that I rarely felt. Today is my birthday and I am 74 years young.  I feel and look at least a decade younger than my chronological age.  And today I am happy to be me and wouldn’t consider being anyone else. What is the source of this dramatic [...]

Proof: Three Scientific Studies Prove The Lefkoe Method Works

We are almost ready to submit an article to a major peer-reviewed journal based on a just-completed independent university study of The Lefkoe Method and it made me realize that I’ve never blogged about our two prior studies. All three studies are exciting because very few people in the personal growth area have ever submitted their work to independent researchers at a major institution and encouraged them to study their products and services. We have now done this three times and each time the results proved that The Lefkoe Method (TLM) does make significant changes in people’s lives. The first [...]
