The transcript of the video is below

Hi, it’s Shelly Lefkoe, co-founder of the Lefkoe Institute. And I had some thoughts that I wanted to share with you today. If you had a lot of plants in your house, would you just water one? No. Why? Because all the other ones would die. Look at your life.

Do you water all the plants in your life?

Do you water the plant called your relationships, both romantic and friendships? Do you water your health? Do you water free time to do things that you just want to do or just sit and relax and just be?

Do you water time with your children if you have them? Do you have water hobbies, the things that you love to do? Do you water your financial life and take time to take stock of that? Do you water time to read and learn and grow?

And the answer usually is, no, I don’t water all my plants. The answer is usually, I work a lot or I give to others all the time.

It is so important to look at your lives and ask yourself the question, am I doing my life or am I being in my life? Am I being present in the moment with my children? Am I being with the book that I’ve been dying to read? Am I being with friends and enjoying myself? Am I being in my exercise program and loving doing it? So yes, you’re doing exercise, but are you being present, or is your mind on what you have to do, should have done, or aren’t doing?

Our lives are very short even if you live to a hundred. And most of us listening to this might be three-quarters of the way there or halfway home, or even a quarter of the way home. But wherever you are in your life, stop and take stock and look at when you get to the end of your life and you turn around and you look at it, are you going to say that was a life worth living?

Are you going to look back and say, “I wish I would have?”

I want you to get to the end of your life thinking this was awesome. I had relationships that I loved. I spent time with the people I cared about. I did something that I loved that made a difference in the world. I read the books I always wanted to read. I sat around and listened to music. I laughed with friends. So don’t forget when you look at a tree or a plant or something in nature, let that remind you to water all of the plants in your life. See you next time.

How to eliminate 19 beliefs that have people stop just short of their goals

Why are people afraid to do new things? Why do they sometimes feel like impostors? Why aren’t they able to just assume they will figure out how to make things work?

The answer is limiting beliefs. Specifically, self-beliefs.

When you have a limiting belief about yourself, it’s hard to escape. You are with your “self” all day long. But when you change a self-belief what happens? The invisible barrier in your way seems to vanish.

Announcing Natural Confidence: A way to eliminate self-doubt

The Natural Confidence program isn’t a rah, rah cheerleader saying “you can do it.” We know that kind of message doesn’t lead to lasting change. Instead, it helps you unlearn the beliefs that keep you from knowing that you’ll find a way to reach your goals and overcome problems. When that happens, you experience the freedom to act. You can get Natural Confidence here and see the many success stories from people who tried the program. Go to www.NaturalConfidenceProgram.com.
