1. Agreement to These Terms

By using this website, booking a session, or purchasing any program from The Lefkoe Institute, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

“The Lefkoe Institute,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Lefkoe Institute, LLC, doing business as The Lefkoe Institute, operating at recreateyourlife.com. “You” means anyone who visits the site, books a session, or enrolls in a program.

These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy and any program-specific terms shown at checkout. If a program-specific term conflicts with these Terms, the program-specific term controls for that program.

2. What Our Services Are, and What They Are Not

The Lefkoe Institute teaches and facilitates the Lefkoe Method, an educational process for identifying and eliminating the beliefs that drive unwanted behaviors and emotions. We offer one-on-one sessions, guided courses and trainings, and self-guided programs.

Not therapy or medical care. Our sessions and programs are educational and personal-development services. They are not psychotherapy, counseling, medical treatment, or a substitute for care from a licensed physician, psychologist, psychiatrist, or other health professional. Our facilitators are not acting as licensed health care providers when they work with you. Do not stop or change any medication or treatment based on our services without talking to your own provider.

If you are in crisis. Our services are not designed for emergencies. If you are thinking about harming yourself or others, call 911 or your local emergency number, or in the U.S. call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

Current treatment. If you are being treated for a mental health condition, we encourage you to tell your provider that you are using the Lefkoe Method. We may decline or pause work with anyone when we believe another kind of support would serve them better.

No guaranteed results. People’s results vary. Testimonials on our site reflect individual experiences and are not a promise that you will get the same outcome. You are responsible for your own choices and actions during and after any session or program.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase services or enroll in programs on your own. Minors may take part with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on the minor’s behalf and is responsible for payment.

If you create an account to access course materials, keep your login details private. Accounts are for one person only. Sharing logins or course access with others is not permitted and may result in loss of access without a refund.

Please give us accurate contact and billing information and keep it current so we can reach you about sessions, schedule changes, and your purchases.

4. One-on-One Sessions

Sessions are conducted by video call (usually Zoom) or phone with Shelly Lefkoe or another trained Lefkoe Institute facilitator. Session length, price, and package details are shown at the time of purchase.

Scheduling. Sessions are booked at mutually agreed times. Times are confirmed in Pacific Time unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for converting to your own time zone.

Rescheduling and cancellation. You may reschedule or cancel a session at no charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less notice, or missed sessions without notice, count as a used session.

Late arrival. If you join late, the session ends at its scheduled time.

If we need to reschedule. If we cancel or reschedule, you will not lose the session. We will offer a new time or, if no time works, a refund for that session.

Session packages must be used within 12 months of purchase. Unused sessions after that date expire unless we agree in writing to extend them. You may transfer unused sessions to another person by letting us know in writing at support@lefkoeinstitute.com. The person receiving them must agree to these Terms.

5. Courses, Trainings, and Self-Guided Programs

Guided courses and trainings (including Lefkoe Method Training 1 and 2) include live group sessions led by Lefkoe Institute instructors, practice with other participants, and course materials. Live sessions are held on the dates listed at enrollment. We may change a session date, time, or instructor when necessary and will notify enrolled participants in advance.

Recordings. Live sessions may be recorded and posted for enrolled participants. By attending, you consent to being recorded. If you prefer not to appear, you may turn off your camera or tell the instructor. Enrolled participants may download recordings for their own use. You may not share recordings with anyone who is not enrolled in that course.

Certification or completion. Completing a training means you have learned the material taught. It does not make you a licensed professional. Participants who complete our certification program receive the Certified Lefkoe Method Facilitator (CLMF) certificate. The CLMF is a credential issued by The Lefkoe Institute. It is not a state license and does not authorize anyone to provide therapy or medical care. The certificate does not expire and has no renewal requirement. Only people who have completed the certification program may call themselves a CLMF.

Self-guided programs (such as Natural Confidence and the Lefkoe Occurring Course) are online programs you work through on your own. Natural Confidence guides you through eliminating common confidence-limiting beliefs. The Occurring Course teaches you to dissolve occurrings, the meaning you assign to events, as they happen.

Access. Unless the product page says otherwise, you get access to self-guided program materials for the lifetime of the program. If we retire a program, we will give at least 30 days’ notice so you can finish or save your notes.

6. Payments and Refunds

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are due at purchase unless a payment plan is offered. We may change prices at any time, but a change will not affect anything you have already paid for.

Payment plans. If you choose a payment plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on the schedule shown at checkout. If a payment fails and is not resolved within 7 days, we may pause your access until the balance is paid. Choosing a payment plan means you agree to pay the full program price, even if you stop participating.

Refunds. The refund policy for each session package, course, training, and self-guided program is the one stated on its offer page at the time you buy. That policy applies to your purchase along with these Terms.

To request a refund, email support@lefkoeinstitute.com with your name and purchase details. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within [10] business days.

Chargebacks. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We would rather fix the problem directly.

7. Intellectual Property

The Lefkoe Method, our course materials, recordings, worksheets, videos, audio, website content, and trademarks (including “The Lefkoe Method,” “Natural Confidence,” and “Recreate Your Life”) belong to The Lefkoe Institute or its licensors.

When you buy a program, you get a personal, non-transferable license to use its materials for your own learning. You may not:

  • Copy, resell, share, or publish course materials or recordings
  • Record live sessions yourself without permission
  • Use our materials to create a competing course or program
  • Call yourself a Certified Lefkoe Method Facilitator (CLMF) unless you have completed our certification program

You are welcome to use the Lefkoe Method on yourself and with others.

8. Confidentiality and Participant Conduct

Your privacy in sessions. We keep what you share in one-on-one sessions confidential. We will not disclose it without your permission, except where the law requires it or where we believe someone is at risk of serious harm. Because we are not licensed health care providers, legal privileges that apply to therapists or doctors may not apply to our sessions.

Group settings. In courses and trainings, participants often share personal material during practice. You agree to keep what other participants share confidential and not to repeat it outside the course in a way that could identify them.

Conduct. We expect everyone to treat instructors and other participants with respect. We may remove anyone from a session, course, or online group, without a refund, if they harass others, disrupt sessions repeatedly, or break these Terms.

9. Testimonials and Feedback

If you send us a testimonial, review, or feedback, we may ask your permission to publish it. We will only use your name or identifying details with your consent. When we publish a testimonial, we use your words as you wrote or spoke them, though we may shorten it. You can ask us to remove a published testimonial at any time by emailing support@lefkoeinstitute.com.

Suggestions you send about our programs may be used to improve them without any obligation to you.

10. Third-Party Services, Liability, and Indemnification

Third-party tools. We use outside services such as Zoom, payment processors, and course platforms to deliver our programs. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their outages or errors.

Services “as is.” Our website, sessions, and programs are provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those stated in these Terms.

Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows, The Lefkoe Institute, its owner, employees, and facilitators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service that gave rise to the claim.

Indemnification. You agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, if a claim is brought against us because you broke these Terms or misused our materials.

11. Governing Law, Disputes, Changes, and Contact

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any legal action will be brought in the courts of Marin County, California, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

Resolving problems. If you have a concern, please email us first. We will work with you in good faith to find a resolution that works for both of us before either side takes formal action.

Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version. Changes apply to purchases made after the update date, not to anything you bought before it.

Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
