One path to self-actualization

This past weekend I attended a workshop that led to me look back at my growth and some of the pivotal points in my life. I want to share them with you because you might be on a similar path and understanding the path I’ve taken might make your own journey much clearer. The first stage As regular readers of this blog know all too well, for the first 38 years of my life I was miserable. Between my depression, my neediness, my two divorces, my dissatisfaction with work, and being scared and upset much of the times, I was [...]

What do you really want out of life?

Every time we send our mailing list a survey asking what you want from the Lefkoe Institute, what you want out of life, or what you would like to change in your life, the most frequent answer we get is overcoming fear in order to take action. Other answers include: Eliminating other negative feelings and wanting to be more successful. On a recent questionnaire many of you mentioned wanting to make some type of contribution to others. Is that all there is to life? These are certainly worthwhile goals. I suspect that they are representative of what most people in [...]

Would you like to spend a year with me?

Last week two different personal development leaders who are friends of mine told me about yearlong coaching programs they had started offering.  I had never thought of offering such a course myself, but when they told me about their programs I immediately thought about how much value I could deliver in a year using all the different Lefkoe Method Processes.  And when I did, I got so excited that I decided to create such a program immediately. I started thinking about all the benefits people get from sessions with our Certified Lefkoe Method Facilitators, from our digital programs, from our [...]

I made a mistake. A big one.

One of the most exciting things about the Lefkoe Belief Process (LBP) is that it not only has a very practical aspect to it (it eliminates the beliefs that determine most of our behavior and emotions), it also has a powerful spiritual aspect (it enables people to enter a profound altered state of consciousness). People are guided to enter that state after realizing that they can’t be their beliefs—and the behavior and emotions that manifest from those beliefs—because they’ve just eliminated one or more beliefs that they’ve used to define themselves (for example, I am not good enough) and they [...]

Use your mind to affect your physical state

Two weeks ago I wrote the following in a post entitled, “Another major breakthrough is on the horizon”: I now think there is something very important that will come from integrating the ability to stop giving meaning, the almost total absence of stress (which has been implicated in almost every minor and major health problem), experiencing unconditional love for people, the fact that our language and the words we use to objectively describe reality already contain meaning that produces significant changes in the body, being able to access the WAIR? altered state of consciousness at will, and the placebo effect [...]

Wouldn’t It Be Nice To Love More?

When I read about how people who had meditated for many years were able to experience increased love and compassion for virtually anyone, I thought: I’d like to have that experience.  So I decided to see if I could create a process that would enable others and me to achieve that very exciting goal without requiring the many years of meditation.  I developed a process that I tried with the 20 people in my last Advanced Lefkoe Freedom Course.  It was effective for most of them. Here is a description of exactly what we did.  Try this exercise yourself and [...]

Would you like to feel unconditional love?

Would you like to experience more love and compassion for people and less judgment and criticism?  Most people would and lots of people have described how to do this: adopt a serious meditation program and after years and years of consistent practice, you probably will achieve your goal. I’ve written in the past about my ability to not only feel unconditional love for my wife Shelly and two daughters, but also for friends and associates.  And I have pretty much stopped judging and criticizing people.  Because I’ve never been a serious meditator, I was clear that meditation wasn’t the only [...]
