    Shelly;
Really super message and so well put! Years ago, my then-young son Ben was watching me sewing. He said “Mom. The reason you are an expert at making quilts is that you know how to fix ALL the mistakes.” I was gob-smacked at the brilliance of that observation. I had to stop and think about all the millions of times I’ve snarled my thread, messed up my stitches, ran out of supplies in the middle, made bad patches, and on and on. And it was only fixing the mistakes that gave me the skills to make my sewing machine FLY. I have used that in a number of areas, but I want to add my accolades because you say it just perfectly here! And if I had been fearless, my life would have been different.
    Fondly,
    Lila

Thanks, Shelly. What kept me back was not knowing how to build a website and monetize it using SEO. I finally found a program and am on my way! I used to hire people but without understanding basic things about online marketing, I couldn’t properly direct the website development, and I wasted a lot of money and time. However, I persisted and finally got the direction and experience I need. I am going to start selling my products online in just a few days!

Fear, Latent most times but it comes down to that! I’ve learned that it exists as stress deep in our muscles. And letting go of that through different mindsets and exercises exposes and eliminates fear and stress. Once “clear” anything is possible – even failure is welcomed instead of avoided. I will try to do your method, there’s nothing to lose! thank you so much!

    Hi Shelly,

I guess they said it all already, but I just felt the need to add my thanks as well!
This little change in perspective is such an important shift from dropping our hands to keep going and succeeding.
Thank again for sharing your insights.

    Many blessings.

What an inspiring post! You are so right…far too many times I have assumed certain things just aren’t for me or I’m just not good at. I’m going to start applying this mindset to my business and see what happens :) Love you Shelly!! -Erin

what a wonderful, simple, truthful concept!
it immediately turns feelings of “failure” into feelings of “vigor”.
    WOW.
like feeling overwhelmed by huge, once in lifetime events like decision to
sell everything (almost) you own, auction house, & relocate 1,000 miles away
for retirement. I recently changed the overwhelming feelings with the opposite
thought of “but what if it can be easy?”
immediately my energy turned from frustration & not knowing where to begin to the energy of vision & vigor.
now every day my mantra is “Everything comes together easily & quickly. my belongings
go to just the right people for the right price, at the right time. it all flows easy, easy, easy.”
our auction is this coming Sunday & I’ve been living in flow for weeks now with this change
in perception, thus energy. it is wonderful!
thank you for your expression of the difference in thinking “experience” vs “failure or can’t”
    you’re Awesome!

Just saw this in my in box- wow what timing! I literally said to my husband oh I cant hang out with you because I have to work on my business plan – he said at 7 am? I said yeah because, “I’m so not good at this” ( I really said that) so I signed up for this course and I’m so behind & now its due. Actually wish I could quit but off I go( to struggle was my feeling )- then I watched your video, spot on!
I will share this tonight with my class as it is so relevant to young entrepreneurs and I have been working on this block which is a big pattern in my life.
I’m grateful for this new & correct language to replace my old belief-
I am gaining experience and people keep showing up when I need help! Thank You from the bottom of my heart!
I already feel more in the flow, here is to my next hour, well the rest of my life ,being full of experience and ease!

Yes, Shelly, this makes the difference between losers and winners. We’re tempted to throw in the towel anytime we do things without seeing immediate results. You work on a project and have the feeling things stay the same. And you don’t realize they are adding up somewhere.

I noticed I have the belief “others know more than me” and “others know something I don’t know (and I will never know)”. This is the limiting belief offering me reasons to give up when things don’t advance as fast as I’d want to.

    Thank you for your insight!

Thanks Shelly, that’s a great reminder for me. No matter how many courses I do, when life gets a bit pressured I go into periods of unconsciousness, where I lose track of how I’m being. Videos like this help to wake me up to examine how I’m allowing my fears to limit me and to renew my resolve and move forward again, great!

I’m so glad this made a difference. Thanks for writing.

I receive an overwhelming number of daily emails linking to blogs, most of which I glance at and delete. I actually read most of Morty’s and Shelly’s. They write well about fascinating ideas and teachings. They have a clear, intelligent logical approach, and more importantly write from experience with heart, warmth, honesty and vulnerability.

Just a quick note to thank you for your weekly insightfulness and addition to your courses through your weekly blog. I find it helpful to read your blog weekly as it reinforces the work that we have done together. I see the value in it for those who have not participated in your work. It gives them a place to enter the conversation and begin to glean a new understanding of themselves and others around them. Most of all thank you for contributing to my life and those you are reaching. To a prosperous and joyous 2014.

I've been reading Morty's blog off and on for about 3 years and I have to say that it is the best source of self improvement information out there today. Every week, he posts a new article full of content on how you can improve yourself and your life by eliminating the beliefs and meanings we give in every moment of our lives each and everyday. The blog articles stretch my perception of reality, and how I view the world.

Mortylefkoe.com is an incredible resource of information - sort of an encyclopedia of personal development. I often use the search tool to read articles in reference to certain topics I'm curious about or am working on in my life. Practically any topic you might be curious about, Morty has an article chuck full of life-altering information in it. It is an almost never-ending source of information and actionable steps to improve your life.

No matter how well you know Morty and his work, you will learn a TON from it and grow as a person. It is a great intro to his work, as well as a great way to dive deeper. I am personally very grateful that he continues to write in it his new thoughts and techniques. It has helped me incredibly in my life!

There's more actionable advice in Morty's blog than in most of the self-help books out there (I know because I've read most of them). Plus it's free. So I urge you to start reading it, today!

I never miss Morty's weekly blogs. They put his work into concise and clear terms. He shows how the Lefkoe Method applies to a myriad of real human situations that cause suffering to most people. He explains how to eliminate this suffering by eliminating the core beliefs that fuel it such as "I'm a failure." He also demonstrates how his method differs from psychotherapy and is often more effective at producing long-lasting change in less time. … The blogs are different from his other services or products in that you don't need to buy them, schedule a session, or order a book. They are … brief, reader-friendly language, enough to read on a 10 minute break from work, for instance. The best part is I've seen positive changes in my own life that come directly from his blogs. This means a lot coming from a psychotherapist trained extensively in models of psychotherapy. I've also found them useful in my work with my own clients and to complement many theories of psychotherapy. I could go on effusively about Morty's magnificent blogs but I think I've already made my point.

Thank you! I've read and considered the concept of creating my own world many many times but this is the first time I've actually experienced and felt it at my core. As you point out, it is one thing to know something intellectually and another to actually feel it and fully believe it. Thank you so much. This was truly a positive life changing experience. I will pass it on to all of my friends. I wish you every happiness and continued success.
-Shirley
I have to tell you that you really broke something open for me when you shared your story about creating obstacles for yourself, because you thought your value was in how hard you could work to overcome those obstacles. Listening to you was a major "Aha!" moment for me - I realized I had been doing the same thing! I've experience enormous and recurring relief, knowing that I don't ever have to struggle again, and I'm perfectly worthwhile. Opportunities that I have been wanting for a long time have come pouring through the door since that "Aha!" moment...so thank you for putting your material out into the world!"
